     Effect of urokinase on cell proliferation and apoptosis of rat pleural fibroblasts

    【Abstract】 AIM： To study the effect of urokinase on the cell proliferation and apoptosis of rat pleural fibroblasts. METHODS: Rat pleural fibroblasts were primarily cultured to 4-12 passages， and then the medium was added with urokinase of different concentrations. After another 24-96 h culture， light microscope was used to observe morphological change. Apoptosis bodies were examined by fluorescent staining. Flow cytometry was used to detect apoptotic cells. RESULTS: Urokinase decreased the number of viable cells in time and concentration dependent manners. No apoptosis body or apoptotic cells were found by flow cytometry.
