ABSTRACT: Objective To elevate the perioperative security of pheochromocytoma cases. Methods 65 cases received selective α1 receptor blocker doxazosin (Controlled Release Tablets, Cardura) to control their hypertension before operation. Results Two patients with persistent hypertension needed calcium ion antagonist combined with ACEI, the others got a satisfied blood pressure level with Cardura. Conclusion Cardura could reduce medicine untoward reaction obviously.
