“What shall I do to love my neighbor？”
“Stop hating yourself.”
The disciple pondered those words long and seriously and came back to say, “But I love myself too much, for I am selfish and self-centered. How do I get rid of that？”
“Be friendly to yourself and yourself will be contented and it will set you free to love your neighbor.”
“我要怎样才能做到爱护我的邻居呢？”
“不要讨厌你自己。”
弟子将这句话很认真地琢磨了很久后，回头问道：“可是我很爱自己呀，我既自私又自我。要如何才能改掉呢？”
“对自己友善一点，你自己心满意足了,就可以尽情地爱护你的邻居了。”
