    [Abstract] ObjectiveTo investigate the expression of scavenger receptor_BI (SR_BI) in HL_1 cells.Methods The expression of SR_BI in HL_1 cells was detected byreal time PCR and the expression of SR_BI on HL_1 cells was measured by FACS.ResultsThe mRNA expression of SR_BI in HL_1 cells(1.00±0.03)increased signifi cantly (P<0.01)when compared with HEK293 cells(0.07±0.02). Comparedwith protein expression of SR_BI on HEK293 cells (0.04±0.02)% and on HL_1cells incubated with secondary antibody (0.40±0.05)%, the protein expressio n of SR_BI on HL_1 cells (11.10±0.71)% increased significantly(P<0.0 1). Conclusions SR_BI can be detected in HL_1 cells and probabl y play a role in anti_atherosclerosis. ......
