    Clinical observation of 59 cases with dacryocystorhinostomy compensated for nasolarcimal duct tube placement 

    【Abstract 】Purpose: To observe and discuss the possibility of dacryocystorhinostomy with suspension of anterior flaps in chronic dacryocystitis patients suffering failure of nasolacrimal duct tube placement.Methods: Perform dacryocystorhinostomy in 59 cases who failed the tube placement surgeries.Results: The average follow up period was over 6 months in our group, the longest was 5 years. Fifty five cases were cured (success rate was 93.22%), and 4 cases improved. No case was observed nasolacrimal obstruction. Conclusion: Dacryocystorhinostomy is a good choice for chronic dacryocystitis patients who suffered failure of nasolacrimal duct tube placement surgeries 
