[摘要] 我国西部地区特殊的地理、气候等自然环境和复杂的民族、宗教等社会因素构成了其特有的社会文化，其中，与医药卫生有关的物质成分和精神成分便构成了西部地区的医学文化。西部地区医学文化有其独特的基本特征：一是多方面因素共构共生形成了流行病学的复杂性，二是天然蕴藏量极其丰富的医药卫生资源，三是在西部脆弱的社会生态影响下而形成的脆弱的卫生生态，四是主要受经济发展水平制约而客观存在的多元医学模式共存。

    Characteristics of medical culture in West China

    [Abstract] The unique natural environment of geography,climate and the complexity of social factors of minorities and religions constitute the peculiar social culture in West China.The physical and spiritual elements in relation to the medical care constitute the medical culture in the west.The medical culture in the west is characterized by the complexity of epidemiology arising from various factors;a rich reserve of natural medical resources;the frailty of medical ecology affected and shaped by the fragile social ecology in the west;a multitude of medical models subjected to economical development. ......
