[Abstract] Objective: To investigate the influence of Tolterodine on bladder cell excitability and bladder contraction, in order to provide a reference for bladder hyperactivity disorder treatment. Methods: 80 cases of bladder hyperactivity disorder patients were divided into treatment group and control group, each of 40 cases. The treatment group was given Tolterodine for treatment, the control group was given Flavoxate Hydrochloride treatment. Results: Compared 24 h average frequency of urination and average single voided volume before and after treatment between the two groups were compared, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). After treatment, the average urination frequency of the treatment group was significantly less than that of the control group (t=9.363, P<0.05); the average single voided volume of the treatment group was significantly more than that of the control group (t=12.363, P<0.05). After treatment, the total effective rate was 95% in the treatment group, which was 75% in the control group (χ2=6.336, P<0.05). The overall incidence of adverse events included dry mouth, constipation, dysphoria between the two groups were compared, there were no statistically significant differences (P>0.05). Conclusion: Application of Tolterodine in the treatment of bladder hyperactivity disorder can significantly reduce excitability and contractile function of bladder cells, improve the therapeutic effect, and has no significant adverse reactions, which should be widely applied ......
