[Abstract] Objective To investigate and analyze the effect of vaginal secretions on routine urine test results. Methods Convenient select eighty-two physical examination patients who underwent routine urinalysis in our hospital from August 2017 to August 2018 were enrolled in the study. They were randomly divided into a control group and a study group, with 41 patients in each group. The control group collected urine by routine methods. The study group used urine to inhibit the secretion of vaginal secretions. The urine samples, urine, protein, pH and other urine routine indicators were compared and the white blood cells and red blood cells, detection rate of nitrite and epithelial cells in urine samples were compared. Results Urine, pH and protein levels (3.1±1.2) mmol/L, (7.6±2.3) g/mol, and (7.1±1.0) were significantly lower in the study group than in the control group (6.2±2.3) mmol/L, (10.3±3.4) g/mol, (7.5±1.3), statistically (t=8.924, P=0.001, t=7.153, P=0.008, t=7.827, P=0.005); the detection rate (4.9%, 43.9%, 2.4%, 2.4%) of leukocytes, red blood cells, nitrite and epithelial cells in the urine samples of the study group were significantly lower than those in the control group (24.4%, 70.7%, 19.5%, 12.2%), the statistics were (χ2=15.205, P=0.000, χ2=14.678, P=0.000, χ2=7.928, P=0.002, χ2=7.021, P=0.008). Conclusion The vaginal secretions will directly affect the routine urine test results. In order to ensure the accuracy of the urine routine test results, the urine can be collected by the method of inhibiting vaginal secretion.,
