[摘要]腰椎间盘突出症是骨伤科的常见病和多发病，对患者、家庭及社会均带来沉重的负担，腰腿痛是腰椎间盘突出症的最主要症状。目前，在腰椎间盘突出症疼痛的发病机制方面，比较公认的有机械压迫、神经根炎性刺激、细胞凋亡、椎间盘自身免疫反应及生物力学机制5种观点，诸多发病机制仍然不能很好地诠释腰椎间盘突出引起疼痛的根本原因，故尚待进一步深入研究和探讨。本文就腰椎间盘突出引发疼痛的机制研究进展进行综述。
