    [Abstract]Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is a common functional bowel disorder characterized by abdominal pain or discomfort accompanied by changes in defecation habits without organic lesions.It is jointly influenced by multiple factorsand pathogenesissuch as gastrointestinal dysfunction，abnormal visceral sensation，abnormal secretionof gastrointestinal hormones，and mentaland psychological problems.Itleads to theemergenceof clinical symptoms of IBS.In the field of western medicine，various treatment options such as conventional drug therapy， psychotherapy，dietary therapyand fecal microbiota transplantationare widelyapplied.In traditional Chinese medicine，spleen deficiency and excessive dampness are regarded as the core factors in the pathogenesis of IBS andareassciated with thedysfunctionof multiple internal organs.Traditional Chinese medical treatment methods usually include Chinese herbal compound prescriptions ......
