Antiobesity character of Konjak mannan ultrafine grinding powder

    ¡¾Abstract¡¿ AIM: To investigate antiobesity effect of Konjak mannan ultrafine grinding powder on nutured obese rats. METHODS: The content of triglyceride, cholesterol, high density lipoprotein (HDL), and glucose in blood were measured by UV spectrophotometry. The antiobesity effect was determined by weight loss and Lee¬ðs coefficient. RESULTS: Compared with Konjak mannan powder and glucomannan, the Konjak mannan ultrafine grinding powder significantly decreased the weight of nutured obese rats (P<0.05) , the content of triglyceride, glucose and high density lipoprotein (HDL) of blood (P<0.05), and also decreased the content of cholesterol and Lee¡¯s coefficient of nutured obese rats. CONCLUSION: The antiobesity effect of Konjak mannan ultrafine grinding powder is significantly higher than that of Konjak mannan Powder and glucomannan. ......
