结脉的特征是脉来缓而时一止，止无定数。标准二定义为“脉来缓弱而有不规律的间歇”。标准一译为irregular intermittent pulse，标准二译为bound pulse。Irregular：not happening at time that are that an equal distance from each other；not happening regularly，意为不规则的、无规律的、紊乱的。Intermittent：stopping and starting often over a period of time，but not regularly，意为断断续续的、间歇的。Bound：prevented from going somewhere or from working normally by the conditions mentioned，意为因……受阻(或不能正常工作)。根据定义，标准一的译文解释比较全面，故应采用。
